Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran to work on connecting power systems
MOSCOW, Aug 14 (PRIME) -- Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran have signed an agreement on a joint feasibility study to connect power systems of the three states, Russian dispatching company System Operator said in a statement on Wednesday.
“On August 12, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran have signed an agreement on joint development of a feasibility study of a project to create the North–South power corridor between the power systems of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Russian Federation,” the statement read.
The agreement was signed by System Operator and state power grid holding Rosseti, Azerbaijani state power producer Azerenerji, and the Iran Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution Company Tavanir.
